JORDAN RAKEI // THE LOOP CAMPAIGN

I began working with Jordan doing BTS content on the shoot for his the album’s first single, ‘Freedom’. Over the two days I captured video and photo content.

Afterwards, we found that our styles complimented each other well and I was asked to work on a variety of other aspects of ‘The Loop’ album campaign.

To keep the same lo-fi style as the Freedom BTS video, I made the visualiser videos for every track on the album, using footage and photos collected during the recording process. We even made sure that each visualiser consists of content taken of that specific track being recorded in the studio.

In the lead up to album release I designed some outdoor posters which appeared in London, Manchester and Bristol. These followed the same collage style as the visualisers, using press images and elements from the album artwork, and promoted the album and Jordan’s upcoming shows.

Just before album release, Jordan was announced as the first ever Abbey Road Studios Artist In Residence. To celebrate this and the release of ‘The Loop’, a set of live performance videos were filmed in the famous Abbey Road recording space. The day ended with an intimate event where friends and colleagues watched Jordan perform a selection of tracks from the unreleased album.

I came along to do BTS for the whole event!
